Our Collection

At the Institute’s core is the Gilder Lehrman Collection, one of the great archives in American history. More than 85,000 items cover five hundred years of American history, from Columbus’s 1493 letter describing the New World through the end of the twentieth century.

Moe agrees with Sylvia that Sid's asking for a gas coupon is wrong and doesn't believe in messing with rationing in order to get more than your share. He says her report on the 49th front is a mess, and bets the screens and door are still full of holes.
