The postcard addressed to Davis, Bets, Jack, and Mike, depicts 'Le Jardin des Tuileries'. Nellie is happy that Mike is okay. She says history and speeches are challenging, and she lost her notes. She is leaving Paris after having spent four days there. Underneath the date in parenthesis she writes "(Uncle Rod's birthday)". She tried to call Rod that day but couldn't get through, guessing he is out swimming. She ends the letter and dates it 8 July 5:20 a.m. confirming that she is checking out of her hotel.
