One trading card from the Red Menace collection, "2. MacArthur Heads UN Forces," consisting of a portrait of General Douglas MacArthur with an ablazed North Korean tank in the background. Reverse side contains a propaganda narrative by which United Nations aiding South Korea is likened to a father who "would help the folks next door if some bad men were beating them up."
General Douglas MacArthur was a prominent military figure recognized for his work as the Chief of Staff of the United States Army during the 1930s and the Philippines War. After North Korea invaded Souther Korea, MacArthur was unanimously selected by the United Nations as the Commander in Chief placing South Korean armies under his command.
