One trading card from the Red Menace collection, "14. Sabres Win Air Battle" depicting two models of jet planes falling during an air strike. Reverse side contains propaganda narrative regarding the difference between F-86 Sabres, F80 Shooting Stars and MIG-15s. Text highlights the superiority of the American jet planes over Russian-made jets.
F-86 Sabres were built as a counter to the Russian-made MIG-15s during the Korean War. Success in dogfights, or aerial battles, were also due to American and Canadian's experience flying in World War II, where as North Korean and Chinese pilots were lacking in combat expereince. Much contention followed whether or not MIG-15s were flown by Soviet pilots during the Korean War.
