Certificate written in a secretarial hand for Bird as Lieutenant Colonel in 15th Regiment of Foot. Certifies that John Beamont and James Watson, recruits from the 24th Regiment of Foot, have joined his 15th Regiment. Bird died on 4 October 1777 at the Battle of Germantown.
