Countersigned by [C. D. Osby?], possibly Under-Secretary at War and John F. [Hesse?]. Hesse certifies that Lorimer's appointment has been entered in the Office of Thomas Gore, Commissary General of Musters. Appoints Lorimer as surgeon to hospitals in Pensacola, Florida. Issued at St. James Court. Contains a length of rectangular blue seal and a round seal. Includes a royal stamp on verso depicting a crown and the letters "G. R."
