One letter from James Digbe to his son Hillary dated March 13, 1863. He read that Trenton was nearly destroyed by fire. He mentions Calvin Jackson retrieved Hillary’s sword from Mr. Bemi’s. and discusses some legal issues with some land. He complains about high prices and hopes for the war's end soon.
