Introduces Col. John Nelson, who is soliciting donations from gentlemen of "benevolence and piety" in Boston to rebuild the meeting house in New Brunswick, New Jersey which was damaged during the "late war." Knox notes that the town was "almost erased by the malignancy of our enemies in 76 and 77."
