Ferguson, aide-de-camp for General P.G.T. Beauregard, writes to General Bonham, stationed at Fairfax County. Ferguson has been directed by the General commanding (Beauregard), to send a list of names to be used as countersigns (list not included). Orders, "You will communicate these countersigns to the troops in Fairfax County." Lists other officers to whom this communication was transmitted.
