The document states that Michael Elliott agrees with Robert Livingston, Jr. "to do all such work in the carpenter & wheel wright trade, as shall be required of him" at the forge at Maryburgh on the Manor of Livingston. Elliott also agrees to let his sons work on the forge, and to board freemen or enslaved people when asked. Also signed and sealed by Robert Livingston, Jr.
