Herewith I enclose you my com.y accounts up to include of part of July /48.
Whilst in Mexico I lost $1500 00/100 of Public funds from robery which I intend to bring before the next Congress for relief.
I respectfully ask for indulgence until such time as I may be able to attend to this matter.
