The man holds a fishing pole over his shoulder while the woman sits in a relaxed position. Their row boat is docked on the rivers edge. Engraved by William Wellstood from the original painting by Aaron Draper Shattuck (misspelled as Shuttuck). The painting was in possession of the artist at time of engraving.
