One engraving entitled "Massacre at Fort Mimms" dated 1866. Depicts the massacre of August 30, 1819. The Red Sticks, a warring faction of Creek Native Americans storm Fort Mimms, overwhelming the militia. Creeks use hatchets and knives to attack settler men, women, and children. In the center of the painting a solider embraces a praying woman. Engraver unknown.
