Angelica writes to Hamilton to introduce a Dr. Priestly, a man of science in the hopes that Hamilton will "make our country so dear to him as to cause him to forget that which he leaves at an advanced period of Life." She also mentions that her husband has the first attack of gout. She adds a postscript asking for a description of her tract of land so that she can imagine it until she sees it.
