One typed letter dated Port-au-Prince, April 29, 1931 from Dana G. Munro. Relays his time spent with the Minister for Foreign Affairs. Has a desire to "give the Haitians a maximum opportunity of running them properly after our people get out." Believes that it was an interesting and pleasant period in Haiti's history.
Munro was an academic who participated in the diplomatic corps in the Mexican and Caribbean regions in the 1920s. In 1932, he negotiated the withdrawal of the United States Marines from the Haiti, as a special envoy.
