Announcing Online Teacher Seminars

The Gilder Lehrman Institute of American History’s Online Teacher Seminars will offer K–12 educators professional development featuring leading American history professors and deep dives into primary sources. Participants can take up to two seminars at their own pace between June 14 and August 15, 2020. Each Online Teacher Seminar will include the following:

  • Between 12 and 15 hours of pre-recorded video lectures by leading historians
  • The opportunity to attend dozens of live Q&As with historians, to be held on Zoom throughout the summer
  • Live pedagogy sessions led by Gilder Lehrman Master Teachers
  • MP3 audio recordings of each lecture
  • Selected primary sources, lesson plans, and spotlights from the Gilder Lehrman Collection and other classroom-ready resources
  • Short quizzes to review seminar content
  • A personalized certificate confirming completed hours/CEUs for the seminar (upon successful completion of seminar quizzes) and any Q&As attended for certification of your professional development credit
