Keisha Rembert

A lifelong learner and multiple-award-winning educator, Keisha brings over two decades of expertise in advancing equity-centered teaching practices. She is an author, assistant professor, and the coordinator for Foundational Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging for undergraduate educator preparation at National Louis University in the Chicagoland area. 

She received her Bachelor of Arts in English from Boston College, her Master of Arts in Elementary Education and Teaching from Chicago State, and is expected to receive her Doctor of Education from National Louis University in August 2025.

Throughout her career, Keisha has consulted with schools, universities, organizations, and non-profits, helping them design and implement systems that prioritize equity and justice. Her work bridges theory and action, creating pathways for sustainable change across educational and organizational landscapes.

Keisha was named 2019 Illinois History Teacher of the Year by the Gilder Lehrman Institute and currently serves as a GLI master teacher.
