- A collection of 9 items relates to the Manhattan Project and the need to establish control over nuclear energy. These include a “Preliminary Statement of the Association of Manhattan District Scientists, New York City Area” and secretary Mildred Goldberg’s account of her experiences on the project and the scientists’ reactions to the devastation after the bombs were dropped on Japan.
- 40 letters between married couple William E. Johnson and Roseann Goodford relay William’s experience during the Vietnam War while aboard the USS Rogers. Correspondence includes topics related to war conflict, moving from New York to California, and Johnson and Goodford’s newlywed sentiments.
