Signed by H.L. Scott. Docket reads "Aug. 6. 1847 Col. Riley case." Proceedings from a court of inquiry regarding Colonel Bennett Riley's command of the 2nd Infantry and 4th Artillery in blockading a road leading to Jalapa, Mexico, in order to cut off the enemy's retreat.
