Writes "They are paroling some of the sick here, & I suppose they will be sent South in a few days."

My dear Mother,
I received your letter yesterday, & one from Minnie today, I suppose you have ? received the permit for some clothes. I sent it last week. I have not received a letter yet from Uncle John. They are paroling some of the sick here, & I suppose they will be sent South in a few days. I received the fifty cents enclosed in your letter. Remember me to Miss Harriet Reynolds & thank her for the wallet. I suppose that Willies vacation has nearly ended, but this time, that is if he intends returning. I grieve to think that I have lost so much time, which ought to have been employed in studying, but Providence willed it otherwise. Love to all, Edward.
