Summary of Content: Summarizes and comments on the contract between Jackson and Flint and the Committee on the Sale of Eastern Lands, describing each article individually. Seems to have several problems with the terms of the sale. See GLC02437.05418 for the contract in its entirety.

Background Information: During this period Sullivan was Attorney General for the State of Massachusetts. It is unclear whether he is commenting on the contract in that capacity. He would subsequently be elected ...governor of that state (1807-1808).See More
