At the Institute’s core is the Gilder Lehrman Collection, one of the great archives in American history. More than 85,000 items cover five hundred years of American history, from Columbus’s 1493 letter describing the New World through the end of the twentieth century.

This document accompanying an Act passed in the State of New Hampshire. It is an alteration to an Act for the raising and completing this state's quota of the Continental Army. It allows towns and counties to muster men for their quotas in whatever manner they feel is most expedient. It creates a committee to oversee this process.
