Our Collection

At the Institute’s core is the Gilder Lehrman Collection, one of the great archives in American history. More than 85,000 items cover five hundred years of American history, from Columbus’s 1493 letter describing the New World through the end of the twentieth century.

Order one drum and fife added to each of the Captains' Guards. A general court martial will convene the following morning to try as many "prisoners as may be brought before" the seven member court. A Captain Lyman is indicated as President. Wayne was the general in command of the United States Army in Greeneville, Ohio.
