Our Collection

At the Institute’s core is the Gilder Lehrman Collection, one of the great archives in American history. More than 85,000 items cover five hundred years of American history, from Columbus’s 1493 letter describing the New World through the end of the twentieth century.

Orders the guards to parade at 8 A.M. and maneuver as usual until further orders are issued. A general court martial presided over by Major Winston will commence tomorrow and bring before it as many prisoners as possible. Wayne was the general in command of the United States Army in Greeneville, Ohio.
