An autobiographical sketch of Frederick Douglass, dated circa 1889. In the text, he dated major life changes starting with his being enslaved in 1837, but freed in 1838. The last thing included is his appointment as a Minister and Consul General to Haiti, spelled Hayti, in 1889. An envelope addressed to Charles Peirce, of Fort Leavenworth, Kansas, indicates that it was sent to him.
