Nancy's mother writes to inform Nancy she is feeling better and that Te Te (Tillie) and Samuel visited her. She mentions that Stevie took care of Samuel and put him to bed. Nancy's mother is concerned for Te Te (Tillie) who "gets fed up with Hattie Sue." Nancy's mother asks Nancy to "stretch it next week," most likely referring to her finances.
