One letter dated Monroe, Wisconsin, August 30, 1868 from T.P. McStearns to George F. Lowman of Eufaula, Alabama, describing the daily routine of feeding the livestock, a girl who has fallen in love with him, inquires if an acquiantance has married yet and if she hasn't that he would write her a letter. Describes slavery as right and also is against voting rights for African Americans.
