One document entitled Return of Captain William A. Prickitt's Company G of the Twenty-fifth Regiment of the U.S. Colored Troops, dated September 1865. The document lists Capt. Prickitt and 1st Lieut. William H. Powers as the Commissioned Officers. It states that there are 87 men under Prickitt's command: two commissioned officers and 85 enlisted men. The only names listed are those of men on "Extra or Daily duty" and those absent from duty. The men on extra or daily duty are Isaiah White and John Quako (carpenters); Solomon Frister (Company Clerk); Richard Cummings and Henry Hovington (cooks); and John T. Davidson (Post Hospital). Several men are listed as sick, including Abraham Sykes, Luke Steel, Jeremiah Strouth, William John Young, Moses Simms, William H. Johnson, and Granville White. Arnold Morris and Charles E. Stokes are in confinement.
