One document entitled Return of Captain William A. Prickitt's Company G of the Twenty fifth Regiment of the U.S. Colored Troops dated September 1865. This return lists Capt. Prickitt and 1st Lieut. William H. Powers as the Commissioned Officers. Prickitt shows 87 men under him: two commissioned officers and 85 enlisted men, of which 9 are absent. The only names listed are those of men on "Extra or Daily duty" and those absent. Of the former, Isaiah White and John Quako are carpenters; Solomon Frister is Company Clerk; Richard Cummings and Henry Hovington are cooks; and John T. Davidson is at Post Hospital. Several men are listed as sick, including Abraham Sykes, Luke Steel, Jeremiah Strouth and William John Young. All are listed as sick from August 15, 1864. Other sick men include Moses Simms, William H. Johnson, and Granville White; all three are listed at U.S. General Hospital, David's Island, New York, August 10, 1865. Two men are listed in confinement: Arnold Morris, and Charles E. Stokes.
