Concerns the cession of land along the western shore of Lake Michigan, their removal, and the remuneration they will receive. Authorized by President Andrew Jackson. Treaty arranged by George B. Porter, Thomas J.V. Owen, William Weatherford, Commissioners on the part of the United States, and the Chippewa, Ottowa, and Pattawatamie leaders on 9 May 1836 (and ratified on 20 May 1836).
