Proclamation by George Washington issuing a full pardon to all deserters who return to their corps by 1 May 1779, and warning those who do not return of punishment. Proclamation dated 10 March 1779 from Middle-Brook, New Jersey. Act made law by the Pennsylvania legislature to raise $1, 900,000 from taxes in the state.
