Hamilton Takes the Tonys

It was, after all, the most nominated show in Broadway history with sixteen nominations. It fell one short of tying the record of twelve awards won by The Producers in 2001.

  6. Best Original Score Written for the Theater: Lin-Manuel Miranda
  7. Best Direction of a Musical: Thomas Kail
  8. Best Costume Design of a Musical: Paul Tazewell
  9. Best Lighting Design of a Musical: Howell Binkley
  10. Best Choreography: Andy Blankenbuehler
  11. Best Orchestrations: Alex Lacamoire
