Robert states that Beekman's actions did not surprise him, as the Livingston family's reception of him nearly implied consent. Robert also remarks with disbelief that his sister could feel affection for such a disfigured individual. Robert also happily announces the arrival of their cousin Captain Livingston, who the whole family should look forward to seeing. Docketed on address leaf.
