Summary of Content: One framed medical device dated July 1938. Frame contains metal plate that was placed in Robert Stone's leg after a car accident when Robert was sixteen. The plate and screws were removed in January 1944 at March Field, California. The plate was removed when it caused medical issues during Robert's training as the planes provided no protection from the cold temperatures at high altitudes.
