One pamphlet featuring an article by C. Wilson Record entitled, "Some Historical, Structural and Functional Differences Between the NAACP and the Communist Party," reprinted from the Alpha Kappa Deltan, Spring 1959 issue. The article touches on the two organizations' efforts to gain public attention. White supremacists claim that African Americans do not want integration, and label the NAACP as "communists" to discredit their efforts towards civil rights.
The Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority was founded at Howard University in 1908. It is the oldest Greek-letter organization founded by African American women at a university.
