A friend informs Blair, the daughter of Francis Preston Blair, of the affairs of mutual acquaintances in Washington, D.C. Year estimated based on the use of Blair, Elizabeth's maiden name. "A.G. Brown" was written in the top right corner of the address leaf at a later date.
