Impressed with a sense of the very polite manner in which you had been pleased to commemorate your proposals
[struck: Your propositions seen before any you are entitled to the very best [illegible] for the very [illegible] manner etc. in which you have been pleased to communicate them.] It give me sincere pleasure to find [struck: that] the Executive [struck: power] of Georgia is disposed to [struck: affect] [inserted: further] the works of the Commiss[ione]rs.
The Commiss[ione]rs. will not hesitate to receive from the [struck: State] [inserted: Executive] any goods that will be [inserted: necessary &] proper for the Treaty [struck: & will do every thing [illegible] Needs power to accommodate be Such The power of the Comm] [inserted: But as much powers are derived from the sovereign authority of the [struck: U.S.] [inserted: Union] and [illegible] They [strikeout] [inserted: can] not restrict unequivocal right to an [illegible] If the goods are such as the Comm[issione]rs. want and the [illegible] such as they shall approach they will be received.
A descriptive list of all [2] the Articles necessary for the Treaty is at present out of my power to furnish but the sum of Eight Thousand Dollars will complete the whole and as you express a [struck: will necessary] [inserted: determination] to "adopt such measure as will come up to the requisitions of Congress" the Comm[issione]rs. can register nothing [struck: no mode] [strikeout] [inserted: beyond] the fulfilling of those requisitions.
