Contains a list of NAACP officers for 1929, including President Moorfield Storey. Foreword commemorates twenty years of NAACP activity. Reports on legal cases such as that of Robert Bell and Grady Swain, two boys sentenced to death on a flimsy charge; and Ben Bess, who was serving a thirty-year sentence based solely on a woman's shaky accusation. Also includes reports on several other cases.
