Bronson citizens indemnify township trustees "to the amount of 2700 dollars against any loss, upon their issuing their bonds for the same amount for the purpose of procuring volunteers to fill the Quota of the Township under the late call of under the late call of the President of the United States ... " Signed by Thomas and 86 other members of Bronson Township. This document is torn in several places, and is in extremely fragile condition. Docketed in pencil.
