Our Collection

At the Institute’s core is the Gilder Lehrman Collection, one of the great archives in American history. More than 85,000 items cover five hundred years of American history, from Columbus’s 1493 letter describing the New World through the end of the twentieth century.

Moe reports that he received a cigarette ration for the first time in a month. He also received a letter from Dick and refers to the black market. He says that it had been one of the coldest days he's seen in France recently. He also tells Sylvia she shouldn't have to get involved in Mad's problems.
