Graduation Ceremony Held for the Gettysburg College–Gilder Lehrman MA in American History

Gettysburg College–Gilder Lehrman American History MA graduates walking for graduation at Gettysburg CollegeOn Saturday, July 15, Gettysburg College celebrated the achievements of graduates of the Gettysburg College–Gilder Lehrman MA in American History.

The Master’s Commencement ceremony was held at Gettysburg College’s Majestic Theater, recognizing students from the winter and spring 2023 cohorts who had completed their degree requirements.

Gettysburg College president Bob Iuliano, Gilder Lehrman chief operating officer Kathrine Mott, and renowned historian David W. Blight spoke to the graduates and their families.

Launched in September 2022, the master’s program in American history is offered through a partnership between Gettysburg College and the Gilder Lehrman Institute of American History. Graduates of the fully online, fully accredited program include K–12 educators, district supervisors, museum professionals, and National Park Service employees affiliated with the Gilder Lehrman Institute.
