Requests that his parents collect his town bounty from the town treasury. Encourages them to move and open a store in West Lebanon, New Hampshire. Also includes a quote from David Crocket: "be sure you are right then go ahead." Comments on the weather and a recent horse race. Mentions the resignation of Colonel James H.
