Translates GLC01450.807.07.01. Discusses the Lorimer family coat of arms and family genealogy. Relates that the arms "were given in the year 1274, to George Lorimor of Burnt Island in the time of Alexander the third of that name King of Scots, for his valiant atchievments in justing with the Earl of Pembrok... for his sengular valour he obtained, argent a Laurel, signifying victory between two cinquefoils, the crest for his dexterity in riding a white horse at a vault. Thomas Lorimer Merchant caused this coat of arms to be extracted at Rochelle the 17th day of Feby in the year 1714."
