my dear Baron. Enclosed you have five copies of the Cincinnati [struck: on] for New York New Jersey Connecticut and New Hamshire - for Massachusetts the one you sent to Genl Heath must answer - It will be necessary that Colonel [Gouvion] [strikeout] & the Maryland Corps - [inserted: that [strikeout] have one] There will then be one copy for some of your [Gentlemen] to make
I pray you to [inserted: sign] forward them to the senior officers of the Lines immediately, [and] to prevent mistakes it will be well to send them by one of your aids -. The one for the Connecticut Line you will please to sign and return [to] the bearer - Let us have the pleasure to see you soon.
