One engraving entitled "Port Hudson and its Defences; Constructed and Engraved to Illustrate the War with the South" dated 1863. Depicts a topographical map of Port Hudson and its vicinity during the Battle of Port Hudson May 22-July 9, 1863. Caption notes, "a topographical map of Port Hudson and its vicinity, showing (mispelled shewing) Earthworks, &c. that were in existence at the time of its fall." Engraved by William Kemble after topography by Charles Shoel.
