First portion of the letter is signed by Thomas Amory. William [Rowsory] signed as a witness and John Lowell signed as a witness and Justice of Peace. Second portion of the letter (page 3) is signed by Rufus Amory. A. Ritchie Jr. and J. Taylor signed as witnesses and William Sullivan signed as the Justice of Peace. Document appears to be two land agreements involving Thomas Amory, Henry Knox, Henry Jackson, Benjamin Lincoln, and Rufus Green Amory. Thomas Amory declares he received a note from Knox, Jackson, and Lincoln for $5479 to be paid in three years with interest. Rufus Amory declares (on page 3) he received full payment from Knox on the note and releases a quit claim to Knox for property in Thomaston, Maine. Date was possibly written at a later date in pen.
