Follow-up letter discussing the addition of evidence in a Court of Inquiry case. Written on War Department letterhead.

War Department
Washington City,
August 17 1863
Hon. F. P. Stanton.
Dear Sir:
I think there is no occasion for changing the order in the Court of Inquiry case of which [struck: you] we spoke this morning. The main point is to put in all your evidence, and have it duly reported and entered so that, at the end, I can see it. Unless you have difficulty, (which I do not anticipate) about getting your evidence in, I think you have no occasion to appeal to me.
Yours truly
A. Lincoln
