Dear Sir
I received the enclosed Packet for Dr. Cutler with a letter for Colo. Rogers last Saturday previous to which Mr. Bartlett had unexpectedly left this city, I am therefore under necessity of returning to you Dr. Cutlers papers, not knowing of any private hand by which to convey them agreeably to this request.
