Sir-
Wee have not any newse from abrode, but of the greatt sicknes at Philledelphe which Contineus [sic] Ten dayes agoe there was above three hundred ded in the pleage [plague], and that there dyes 8 or 9 in a daye, I presume you have had of Fredericks shipe being taken by the Pirats, neare Cape pebels, being plenty well pilledge the Most is since com in to boston with, hire, at boston the saye [all] Mony is received att home, but wee must be the last Must know itt, I hope itt is [true], the man of [illegible] is to bee oure [illegible], but what Russells every one, is to know why Lift Miner is to bee Made sherife, hee was named by ordr Last Councell daye, his Lordshipe hass beene kind to mee in words but as Capt Hide said that will [illegible] no [Hasnips], My humble dutye to Mad: Livingston wth all the famylie to Coll Scheyler and all frends I am
