Our Collection

At the Institute’s core is the Gilder Lehrman Collection, one of the great archives in American history. More than 85,000 items cover five hundred years of American history, from Columbus’s 1493 letter describing the New World through the end of the twentieth century.

Sylvia notes Moe bought a new pen and says as soon as time permits she will go to Waterman and get him a new point. Wants to learn all of the "Englishisims" he is learning while stationed in England. Wishes he were home to advise her about filling out the income taxes. Reports on friends. Went to the Selective Service Board and received 30 new cases that needed psychiatric evaluation.
